Crocodile Labs is looking for mid-level and senior software engineers with experience in front-end, back-end, and/or blockchain Dapp development. We're also open to any talented individuals who are eager to learn. As one of the first engineer hires you'll work with a deeply technical founder to assume major responsibility on the product. You'll enjoy substantial freedom to define the technical direction that will form the foundation of the company and the community.

About the Role
The role is fully remote. Open to any candidate globally, but candidate will work semi-regularly around US hours. Salary is competitive for experience, and compensation includes significant equity participation. Depending on your skillset and interest, responsibilities include some combination of:
- Designing and developing safe and efficient smart contract code to power the protocol that runs the decentralized exchange.
- Building performant and intuitive front-end web and mobile interfaces for the exchange.
- Developing integrations with third-party tools and platforms.
- Data engineering and data science to extract analytics and insights based on users' on and off-chain activity.
- Applying DevOps principles to monitor and maintain uptime, reliability, and security.
Requirements
One or more of the following:
- 2 years experience in front-end web development
- 1 year experience in Solidity, smart contract and/or Dapp development
- 4 years experience in software development at a startup of tech company, including a demonstrated history of shipping code.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with UI/UX on web or mobile interface.
- Experience with mobile front-end development
- Backend development experience, particularly python, Golang, and Postgres.
- Familiarity with blockchain, Ethereum, DeFi, and/or decentralized exchanges.
- Familiarity with rollups and other L2 scaling technologies.
- Typescript experience
- Bachelors in CS, EE, Math or equivalent experience.
